Product Description
Nike Vaporfly 4 Road Racing Shoes
The Nike Vaporfly 4 is a lightweight and propulsive road racing shoe designed for distances from 10K through to the marathon. Weight has been reduced across the upper, midsole and outsole compared with the Vaporfly 3, creating a leaner racing construction without sacrificing performance.
Full-Length Carbon-Fibre Flyplate
A curved, full-length carbon-fibre Flyplate provides the propulsive sensation at the heart of the Vaporfly 4. Its updated plate angle is designed to help increase leverage through the foot and ankle while supporting an efficient racing stride.
Lightweight ZoomX Cushioning
Nike ZoomX foam runs from heel to toe to deliver lightweight cushioning, bounce and energy return. The updated midsole removes foam where it is not needed, reducing weight while allowing the responsive ZoomX platform to deliver an even more energetic feel.
A Lighter Engineered Mesh Upper
The engineered mesh upper is designed to improve comfort and provide a more consistent fit while contributing to the shoe's overall weight savings. The heel and tongue have also been reduced in size to further streamline the construction.
Lightweight Blown Rubber Outsole
The blown rubber outsole combines traction, durability and cushioning in a softer material that compresses to conform to the road. Compared with the Vaporfly 3, thinner rubber is used to reduce outsole weight while maintaining the traction required for racing.
Updated Racing Geometry
The Vaporfly 4 features a higher Flyplate angle and a lower 6mm heel-to-toe drop as part of its revised racing geometry. The midsole also extends around the heel in a shape designed to remove unnecessary material from the inside of the foot while supporting a more stable ride.
